Gratitude for Birthdays

My husband had a birthday two weeks ago. His father had a birthday last week. We celebrated my daughter’s birthday on Saturday, and this Thursday we will celebrate mine. Happy Birthday to all of you April Mommys and Mommys with April born babies.
Today I continue in gratitude to my Lord for life’s little blessings
21. birthday celebrations
22. little excited hearts that look joyfully forward to what is coming and ask each night “Is to morrow the day?”
23. baking and cooking with little helpers
24. good friends
25. great memories
26. that children are little for at least a decade
27. wrapping paper that makes presents a surprise til the very last moment
28. the smile of a child that spreads like the speed of light through a room til every face wears one
29. little eyes, ears, and fingers that behold new things everyday and remind us adults to wonder at this world… to be impressed still with what we’ve become accustomed to
30. having a husband to share life with, all of the work, and all of the joys
31. so many blessings that we don’t have room enough for them
32. the giving of others
33. cupcakes and other tasty treats
34. relaxing weekends with nothing to do but play with new things
35. naps
36. video cameras to capture moments that are fleeting
37. restful days to recover from busy days
38. reasons to celebrate
39. family traditions

My daughter’s birthday is Thursday as well. She will be 16! Happy Birthday to you.
Great to meet you through your blog. I think we can all add Ann and her work at Holy Experience to our lists. She speaks the hearts of so many mothers. I’ve had fun looking over your site. It’s beautifully done. I am so excited about the notetaker’s Bible. I added it to my wish list

P.S. We all share a hatred of laundry…speaking of my dryer just beeped!
I love your list, and I’m happy to see you join in on all of the blessings! Happy Birthday to you and your family this week! I missed April, mine is next week =]
