Gratitude for Everyday Miracles: Tuesday
This week I am purposing to notice, and thank the Lord, for miracles amongst the everyday humdrum of daily routines…
Tuesday…
83. going to bed at night feeling safe and feeling that my children are safe
84. sleeping in warmth, comfort, privacy, protection, and peace of mind
85. those who give their lives for ours
86. living in a Republic of laws and of order
87. not having to live in a nation dictated and ruled merely by men subject to greed and corruption of the soul, who believe they are the givers and restrictors of rights
88. being governed according to a Constitution that protects the rights of every man given by God our Creator
89. the many protected freedoms we share in as Americans including the freedom to teach my children truth at home, and teach them why they must also grow up and become defenders and protectors of these sacred freedoms
90. honest historians who have documented their times, and past times, in order to help us learn from mistakes and better navigate our futures
91. for the courageous and inspiring determination of Invisible Children founders Jason Russell, Bobby Bailey, and Laren Poole
92. how incredible movies and documentaries allow us to witness lives and stories we’d otherwise never come in contact with
93. how these incredible stories increase our compassion and expand our imaginations to create and make change
94. people living all around the world who have set aside the comforts and conveniences of safe places and have traveled to difficult foreign lands to help provide needs and comforts to others

95. for Bill S.1067- The Lord’s Resistance Army Disarament and Northern Uganda Recovery Act of 2009, which passed in Congress last week and now awaits President Obama’s signature
96. generous givers who offer their hard earned money to better the lives of children and families around the world
97. those who understand that dismantling the LRA is only the beginning – bringing child soldiers back to their homes and helping them heal from their lives under Kony’s thumb will take the fiancial support of thousands

98. seeing glimpses of my own children’s hearts, though still so young, beginning to understand how blessed they are, how good they have it, and how many others in this world need their love, compassion, prayers, and help… and seeing that they want to give those things
99. those of you who will read this post and TODAY begin to help finance the freeing and recovery process for child soldiers
*You can view where this week of gratitude posts began on Sunday’s post. Come back tomorrow as purposed gratitude continues.

I have become aware recently what a blessing it is to live in safety. Without daily fear for my safety or the safety of my children. And that my boys are free from army consignment.
*Blessings on your day*
Liberty
Oh, thank you for noticing the plight of the children in Uganda… Sudan… Congo… and elsewhere where freedom is like a dream. We are raising support to be missionaries to Uganda so the cause is near and dear to our hearts!
This list is sobering. A person thinks they are thankful for great things until they lay eyes on this.
These are truly things to be thankful for! Like prostrate before the Lord thankful.
Thank you for this moment. A moment where I needed to be. Because life is about so much more than what my brain can fathom.
Be blessed sweet siter!
This humbled me, stopped me in my tracks. I sometimes forget how safe I am, how good I have it. This brought tears to my eyes, thank you.
I just joined the gratitude community. Last week, I listed 10 “general things” I was thankful for. Your post has caused me to dig deep. To truly consider what blessings I experience daily that are not a right, but a true blessing.
I just finished reading “The Road to Lost Innocence” which is a story about another horrific injustice taking place in our world-child slavery/sex trade.
Safety and freedom!!! My heart and mind can’t grasp…..
