Saga of a Hindered But Hopeful Gardener – Post 5 – Wordless Wednesday – How Do They Know?!

(The photo above was taken the morning after these photos were taken… painful.
And I really shouldn’t have been surprised by this photo, because of these photos, … but I still was. How do they know?! )

Ugh! So frustrating.
Don’t know why I got an error message. Not sure if you’ll get this twice or not, but happy WW! Sorry I’m no help- not a gardener. Thanks for dropping by!
Those stinkin’ gophers. I have a couple of holes I’m afraid someone is going to fall into in our yard. I always remember while I’m mowing thank goodness. Our cat needs to do his job better!

We have been battling bunnies here. Thanks to that we planted things inside our porch this year. Everything did really great until the 90+ degree days that fried them even with watering.
Right? animals are always eating everything in our gardens!
We have moles, birds, tons of birds, and cotton tail rabbits, not to mention, bugs. We live in TN, what can I say? There is always some kind of animal or insect eating our plants.
Our problem is rabbits, a neighbour up the street breeds them but his construction abilities are somewhat lacking so there is like and INSANE number of bunnies in our neighbourhood. At first I was all like ‘awww cute bunny’ now I’m letting my dog chase after them. He’s never caught one, but he tries and it helps keep them out of our yard.
Oh that stinks! We have some real diggers in the backyard also. I am a new follower! Come and visit Mama’s Little Chick. Have a great day!

Oh so sorry sweetie, wish I could lend you Mr. Higgins and Samson, they are great a catching gophers and any other little fury critters you may have.
I swear we gardeners must have the patience of the saints…gophers, moles, slugs, birds, rabbits, too much rain, too much sun, frost, blight, cabbage worms…ACK! It almost makes one scared to enter the garden!
Sorry for the gopher issues…I hope most of your garden survives! Kimj
oh no!!! i hope they leave some for you!
