MommyTopics.com Very First Giveaway!!!

Fall is in full swing. November has begun and I am already feeling quite thankful… and giving.
It’s been a rough year financially for a lot of people, my family included, but I still have so much to be thankful for.
Christmas is just around the corner and I’m sure a lot of people are concerned about how they are going to provide gifts for their loved ones this year.
I’m hoping over the next few weeks, along with everything else going on here at MommyTopics.com, to provide you with some tips, ideas, and suggestions for reasonably priced but meaningful and wonderful Christmas gifts.
But that’s not all…
I’m also going to be giving some gifts away… for FREE!!!

That’s right… you heard me. Starting this week, MommyTopics.com will be hosting giveaways for free items that will help you with your giving this Christmas.
And the giving begins TODAY!!! RIGHT NOW!!!

Today’s GIVEAWAYS are three $50.00 Amazon.com Gift cards which can be used to buy just about anything you can dream up.
And the best part is… you have three chances to win!

But, the content of your post will help make MommyTopics.com an even better site… so be honest and put some thought into it!

Third chance to win a $50 Gift Card: Become a Fan of my blog through Facebook by clicking on “Become a Fan” in the right hand column of the website.

Well, lets start by saying I would love to see more giveaways on your website…this is so cool!
I think it would be awesome if you talked about Jesus on your website, I think if you wrote about your Christian faith it would set you apart from other well known mommy blogs.
I also want to read about the struggles, trials and ups and downs of parenting and wifehood, this is stuff I can relate to. I want to hear about how your kid got gum in her hair or how you were up all night with a teething kid. I want to hear about how you hate cleaning up after everyone all day…give us some details! I also want to hear about the precious moments like how your little one fell asleep holding a sucker or how you love to hear your son giggle. I would love to hear the funny things your kids say or what their reactions are when they are in trouble. I love the tips you give and keep the crafts coming. I can’t wait to be your assistant someday! Thanks for sharing your life with all of us.
I thought of more stuff…links to free samples like shampoo or something. I want to read about kid and mommy meltdowns.
I would love to come to this site and find some well researched products like the safest and most affordable carseat.
I want to hear things about how you went to the store to buy supplies for choc.chip cookies and you forgot the choc.chips. Or how you wore the same outfit 3 times this week because it made you look thin. Or I want to hear about the frustrating/funny stories about how the husband took a 3 hour nap while you cleaned up. Give us some pictures of dirty dishes and piles of laundry.
I want the kodak memory moments as well. The greatest smells, feelings and stories about having a house full of kids. How you can go from feeling angry and wanting to pull out your hair one second because your kid just broke your favorite dish, to happy with a heart full of joy because your son crawled into your lap, gave you the biggest hug and said I love you mommy, I’m sorry.
I love your stats they are interesting to me. I also love the Youtube clips I would love to see some youtube clips and silly pictures of your crazy loveable family.
When I first read the title of this blog, I thought it said “Very First GETAWAY!!!” And boy was I excited.
So, it got me thinking that it might be fun to get a blog topic started on some inexpensive girl night getaways, or even dates with the hubby! I know for me, it is so important to get date nights with my man…and how much that plays a role in our parenting…the relationship my husband and I have & how are kids will get to see how we relate to eachother.
Another topic that crosses my mind a lot throughout the day is ‘choosing your battles’…what to say yes & no to throughout the day so you don’t just tell your kid ‘no’ all day long
.
I love reading your blog & you’re so creative!
I would like to see more tips for cutting the family budget, saving at Christmas (or stretching the buck at that time) and of course – giveaways!! Thank you for the chance. Very generous.
I would love to see more giveaways! I would also love to see a post about baby shower gift ideas. That would be a great subject for people who have no idea what or where to buy the perfect new mommy gift.
How to get little ones to eat right – so it becomes a life style as they grow. How to get them to understand right from wrong – in everyday learning situations. Maybe how we as moms can turn the way people act and treat each other and their own bodies. (Does that make sense?)
Mommy’s that are raising boys, I would like to see articles regarding this topic.
As a Christian mom whose kids are both over 21, I know a great topic would be saving for college. Start NOW.
Another topic would be to spend all the time you can with grandparents. Make good memories and take lots of pictures. My kids are losing their beloved grandfather to cancer sometime very soon, and the time we had with him wasn’t long enough.
I would like to see budget saving ideas for Christmas, including gift ideas and holiday dinner ideas! Thanks for the chance!
Thanks to everyone who entered the contest, and thanks for all of your great input in your comments. Check back Friday morning to see who won!
Love you and love what you are doing! Keep up the good work. Can’t wait to read what you post next! (where do you find the time?)
Hi Rachael!
I’ve really been enjoying reading your blog. My favorite thing so far has been the step-by-step recipes. I love seeing pictures throughout the process so I know what it “should” look like along the way. I tried your mashed red potatoes and my hubby loved them!
Keep ‘em coming!
Jill
Cory and Jill…
Thank you for the kind and encouraging words. They mean SO MUCH!
