Williams-Sonoma Giveaway!

Thanksgiving and Christmas are rapidly approaching and I’ve got a recommendation and a GIVEAWAY item that will add some beauty, function, and style to all of your Holiday gatherings.

This is a beautiful glass cake stand from Williams-Sonoma.

Don’t you just LOVE Williams-Sonoma?

I can’t get enough of their stuff.  It’s all beautiful and brilliant.  I often find really unique gifts there, which are so hard to give away because I always want them for myself.

I’m working on this problem with selfishness, but until I get it all worked out I usually buy two of everything.  One to give away, and one to keep.

Here is my own fabulous Williams-Sonoma cake plate with some Thanksgiving Cupcakes and cookie place cards.

Later this month I’ll share with you my adventures creating these cupcakes and how you can make your own.

This cake stand is  classically beautiful, completely affordable, and… it has an AMAZING secret.

This cake stand is a Double-Agent!

Yep!  You just flip the base upside down, flip the lid upside down, put them together and viola!

You have yourself a punch bowl.

Or fruit bowl.  Or candy bowl.

Or elegant popcorn bowl.

Or floating candle bowl.

Or husband’s favorite cereal bowl… I would probably discourage that one.

Mostly it’s a punch bowl. Check out this great recipe for Coffee Punch.

If you have a smaller kitchen, not having to store both a cake stand and a punch bowl as two separate items is so helpful.

If you have a large kitchen, like the kind I dream about at night before I fall asleep, this is such a classic beautiful item to always have on display holding treats as a plate, or fruit as a bowl.

This would make a wonderful Christmas gift for mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts, friends… anyone who likes to bake and/or hostess.

It is fantastic quality, as all Williams-Sonoma products are, and the best part….

It sells for only $30.00.

That is a great price for such a beautiful gift that will never look outdated, will always be useful, and every time it’s used will make it’s recipient think about Wonderful YOU!

Brownie storage for them. Brownie points for you!

Speaking of foods that make my mouth water… let’s get to the GIVEAWAY!

I’m giving away ONE of these Williams-Sonoma cake plate/ punch bowl double-agents.

And No!

I’m not giving you mine.  Remember my selfishness problem? One for me to keep, and one to giveaway… that’s how I roll.

So here’s the deal…. The GIVEAWAY starts now and will run for one week, until Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 8pm pacific time.

Now here is where the delicious foods come in…

All you have to do to enter is leave a comment on this post telling me what Thanksgiving food item you are looking forward to the most this year.  Is it the mashed potatoes? Does your aunt make the best pumpkin pie? Are you planning on trying a new recipe? Is your mouth watering just thinking about it?  I want to know!

Only one post per person please.

And a note to friends and family… you can enter too! My site… my rules.  I promise I wont play favorites… The winner will absolutely be chosen randomly.

Anyone from anywhere can enter, but this item can only be shipped to an address in the United States including Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories.  If you live outside of the U.S. and would love to send this gift to a U.S. friend or relative you may enter to win and submit that U.S. address when you claim your prize.

The winner will be posted Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at 9:00 a.m.  Make sure to come back and check the site that morning to see if you won so I can ship this beauty and get it to your destination in time for Thanksgiving.

Happy commenting!  I can’t wait to see what kinds of things everyone is salivating over.

Homemade pumpkin pie is my favorite indulgence on Thanksgiving Day. But here’s what makes it special – homemade whipped cream! That’s right, none of this straight out of the can stuff. The topping for my mother’s famous pumpkin pie is whipped cream flavored with just the right amount of vanilla. Yummmmmmm!November 26th come quickly, please. =)

My favorite has to be the stuffing. I love the tradition recipe but my mom always makes a new recipe too. And I especially like it as left overs on a turkey sandwich. Now I am getting hungry!

  • Cindi says:

Just one food item I look forward to at Thanksgiving? :) There are so many to choose from. Okay, so if I have to pick, it’s going to be…yams! Yes, that’s right. I love baked yams. My mom makes them by putting lots & lots of butter & brown sugar all over them & topping them with marshmellows. I can’t wait!!!

The Turkey is what I’m most looking forward to! Always the turkey!

Stuffing. It’s the only time of year we have it. My family used to do an apple, raisin, bread one which I didn’t really like. But about 10 years ago my husband, daughter and I found one with bread, onions and peanuts in Bon Apetite which is REALLY good!

  • Marissa says:

I am looking forward to left overs so I can make a hot turkey sandwich with all of the sides spread on it…mashed potatoes, yams, gravy, cranberries, stuffing…yummy! I like the sandwich from the left overs way better than the Thanksgiving dinner.

  • Lisa says:

I’m back online!! And so stoked because I have a not-so-secret love affair with Williams Sonoma!

Okay, my fave thanksgiving food is…cranberry sauce!! This year I’m dying to make my own, from scratch. I’d love to do some type of cranberry/apple crunch as well. There’s just something about cranberries that screams fall and holiday seasons to me…plus they’re just beautiful :)

  • Katie says:

I’m so excited for pumpkin pie. We always use egg nog instead of the condensed milk, so the pies are richer and have extra nutmeg flavor. Oh! And biscuits, of course.

  • Christin Shultz says:

I love those turkey cupcakes that you used as place cards! What a fab idea…gonna copy if you don’t mind!

  • Christin Shultz says:

I know I’m only supposed to post once, so count this as my only post, just had to comment on the cupcakes! My favorite Thanksgiving recipe is actually pretty different, but it has been in our family for a long time. Creamed onions…yes, it sounds weird, but if you like sauteed onions, it is soooo good. This dish brings back years of memories and tradition for me.

I am looking forward to eating the stuffing and sweet potato pie this Thanksgiving. Good luck to all and Happy Turkey.

  • Erica Beukelman says:

How cute are you with those cookie place cards. That is so creative. Stealing that one!!! :)

  • DanFull says:

Roasted Pork loin with a Balsamic Fig Reduction. This is a perfect compliment to the turkey and has lots of good “Warm in the Belly” earthy fall flavors!

  • Tanya says:

First, GREAT turkey cupcakes. LOVE THEM! Second, since I am in charge of Thanksgiving this year (yikes!) I am most looking forward to pulling off the one thing that I KNOW will come out right…my spiced apple tart with caramel ice cream. Mmmmmmmm :)

  • jay Watkins says:

I’m looking forward to dark meat of the turkey.
